Viewing The Input and Output States

Input is open circuit
Input is closed circuit
Outputs
Output is open circuit
Output is closed circuit
The actual state of the inputs and outputs on a controller can be viewed by looking at the controller configuration screen for the controller you are interested in.

The state of the inputs and outputs are depicted by a coloured square, one square for each input and each output.
The state of each output can be determined by the colour of the square, the following shows the meaning of each colour.
