Our customers asked us to develop an access control system which would be able to meet the varied and complex demands of large installation system specifications, yet could also be easily applied to a smaller 2-8 door system without any loss of performance.

Nexus systems are controlled and connected using the ubiquitous Nexus processor control board, which is flexible and powerful enough to provide up to eight on board reader controls and up to 8 input/output relay control. The processor board contains on board power circuitry and interfaces with other control systems via a range of optional communications modules (see below).

Nexus is a modular controller, the essence of which is an incredibly flexible 2 door reader module, which may be supplied with the controller or as an addition to an existing system, enabling users and installers to purchase only the reader modules required for the installation, safe in the knowledge that expansion is an easy, cost effective and simple process, saving both time and cost.

We were also asked to use our extensive knowledge to uncover ways of reducing installation and commissioning costs and improving operating efficiency. In response to this challenge, Morley design engineers developed the Nexus range of online controllers which achieves all of the above and a great deal more.
