Badges can be designed to exact user requirements. You may place any text, pictures, lines, boxes, various colour effects as well as any of the information held in a user record including a photograph of the user on to a badge.
The following image is an example of what can be produced using the Badge Design Editor (Photo ID editor).
To create and view a badge simply press the photo ID editor shortcut . You will then see the Photo ID Template Editor, as shown in the following image. It can be seen that a lot of new icons have appeared on the tool-bars, these are the graphic tools required to produce a badge.

They are shown in grey as they can not be selected until a badge design has been started by ether selecting and modifying an existing badge or creating a new design.
Press the Open Template icon...
...and the Open Template dialog will be displayed, listing any badge templates that are on the system.
From this dialog you may select any of the listed templates to edit or delete or you may create a new template.
Creating A New Badge Template
To create a new badge template press the New button (shown high-lighted)...
...A rectangle will appear with a flashing cursor inside...
...enter the name for the new card, in this case ID Card...
...a blank template will now be displayed in the Photo ID Template Editor.
The first step is to select the badge orientation, to do this press the Page Setup icon on the tool-bar...
...you will the page set up dialog.
The information shown in this dialog will depend upon the type of card printer connected to the PC running the Sentinel Lite software.

Select the badge orientation, using the buttons high-lighted.

Saving A Badge Template

Saving a badge template is simply a matter of pressing the Save Template icon whenever you wish to save the badge design.

Editing An Existing Badge Template

To select one of the listed templates simply click on the required template, it will turn blue.

Now press the open button...
...the selected template will be displayed in the PhotoID template Editor.

You may now modify the template using any of the graphical tools on the tool bar. Once you have completed any modifications you must press the save icon on the tool-bar to save any changes made.

The save icon is shown high-lighted in green.
Deleting A Badge Template

To delete one of the listed templates simply click on the template to be deleted, it will turn blue.
Now press the delete button...

...the Delete Template confirmation dialog will be displayed...

...pressing Yes button will result in the selected template being deleted, pressing the No or Cancel buttons will not delete the selected template.
